Performance
What makes your band different from other corporate bands?
We are not just a band that plays a setlist. We actively manage the energy of the room.
Most corporate bands either stick to a fixed set or take requests and lose control of the flow. We do neither.
We read the room in real time and adjust without disrupting the structure of the event. That means incorporating live requests when it elevates the experience, or staying locked into a curated set when precision matters.
For planners, that translates to something simple: a packed dance floor when you want it, and a controlled, professional atmosphere when you need it.

What types of events do you perform at?
We specialize in corporate events, private events, and high-end weddings. This includes black-tie galas, conferences, destination celebrations, and brand activations.
What band sizes and configurations are available?
Our core band is a five-piece, with expanded configurations available depending on the event. Keyboards and fiddle can also be added when the program, room, or musical direction calls for them.
How long does the band perform?
Our standard booking covers a four-hour performance window, typically including two 20-minute breaks. We can also build a schedule around the specific timing and programming needs of your event.
How do band breaks work?

Can guests request songs during the event?
Yes. Our live request system allows guests to scan a QR code and submit song requests directly from their phones while we perform, giving us the ability to respond to the room in real time.
Do you take song requests?
Yes. We are known for doing it without disrupting the flow of the event.

Can we provide a do-not-play list?
Absolutely. We’re happy to work from a do-not-play list and any other musical guidelines you provide so the entertainment stays appropriate for your event and audience.
Can the band learn custom song requests?
Yes. With sufficient advance notice, we can prepare specific songs for special moments, presentations, honorees, or other parts of your program.
Can you provide music for cocktail hour, dinner, or networking?
Yes. We can adjust both repertoire and volume for cocktail hours, dinners, networking sessions, and other portions of an event where live music should enhance the atmosphere without competing with conversation.
How do you handle different types of audiences?
Every audience responds differently, and we adjust in real time.
Some events call for a high-energy dance floor. Others require a more controlled, upscale feel. We know when to shift and how to keep the room where it needs to be throughout the night.
Can you customize the performance for our event?
Absolutely.
We work with you and your planner to shape the flow of the night, including key moments, pacing, and songs that matter to your audience.
Every event is different, and the performance is built around what the event actually requires, not a pre-set template.
Can you act as the centerpiece of the event?
Absolutely.
For many events, we are brought in to drive the energy of the entire evening, not just fill space between moments.
When that is the goal, we take ownership of the room and create a shared experience that keeps people engaged long after the event ends.
Corporate Production
Can you support corporate awards programs?
Yes. We can provide live music throughout an awards program, including guest arrival, honoree walk-ons, category transitions, production changes, and the transition into a post-program celebration.
Can you provide custom walk-on music for award recipients?
Yes. With the honoree information provided in advance, we can prepare individual walk-on and walk-off music based on the person, department, company, alma mater, favorite artist, or another theme selected by the planner.
Can you provide music for speaker walk-ins, walk-outs, and general-session transitions?
Yes. We can provide live walk-in and walk-out music, short musical transitions between speakers, and coverage during production changes so the program maintains momentum between segments.
Can you work directly with our stage manager or show caller?
Yes. We are comfortable taking live cues from stage managers and production teams and working within the timing and structure of a professionally produced corporate program.
Can you work with our AV or production company?
Yes. We routinely coordinate with in-house AV teams, outside production companies, venues, and event planners before and during an event to make sure the technical and performance sides work together smoothly.
Can the band connect to the venue or production company’s PA system?
Yes. We can patch into an appropriate house or contracted PA system and provide our technical requirements, input list, stage plot, and other information needed by the production team in advance.
Do you provide sound and lighting?
Sound and lighting are typically handled by the event’s production team or preferred vendors.
We work seamlessly with them and provide a detailed technical rider to ensure everything is executed professionally.
Do you work with event planners and agencies?
Yes. This is a large part of what we do.
We understand that this is not just about entertainment. It is about execution. Timelines, communication, and reliability all matter.

Travel
Do you perform outside Nashville?
Yes. The Tyson Hanes Band travels throughout the United States for corporate events, conferences, private events, and other engagements.
Do you perform internationally?
Yes. We can travel internationally when the event and travel requirements allow, and we will coordinate those logistics with the planner in advance.
How are travel and lodging handled?
We can structure the contract either way. Travel and lodging can be included in the proposed pricing, or the client can provide those arrangements separately outside of the band’s performance fee.
Procurement
Can you provide a W-9?
Yes. We can provide a completed W-9 and other standard vendor documentation required by your company’s procurement or accounting department.
Can you complete our vendor-onboarding process?
Yes. We regularly work with corporate clients and can complete standard vendor-registration and onboarding requirements as part of the booking process.
Do you provide a technical rider, stage plot, and input list?
Yes. We provide the appropriate technical rider, stage plot, input list, and production requirements so your venue and AV team have the information they need to advance the event.
What do you need from the client or venue?
We keep this process straightforward.
We provide a clear technical rider and coordinate directly with your planner, venue, and production team to handle logistics, making this as hands-off as possible for you.
Booking & Planning
How far in advance should we book the band?
Our calendar can book well in advance, particularly for peak corporate-event dates, so earlier is always better. That said, we’re happy to check availability for events on shorter notice as well.
What information do you need to provide a quote?
The most helpful starting information is the event date, location, approximate schedule, type of event, expected attendance, and how you envision using the band. Details about production, travel, and any additional programming needs can then be incorporated into the quote.
Can you perform across multiple days of a conference or event?
Yes. We can support multi-day conferences and build different repertoire, programming, and performance approaches for each day so the entertainment does not feel repetitive.
Can you use different band configurations during the same event?
Yes. The band can be configured differently for separate portions of an event when appropriate, allowing the entertainment to change with the room, schedule, and purpose of each segment.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We offer a multitude of payment options, including but not limited to ACH, wire transfer, business checks, and credit card payments. A 3% credit card processing fee will be applied. Additional forms of electronic payment can be accommodated upon request.
What is your typical pricing?
Pricing varies based on location, production needs, and band size, but we are positioned as a premium corporate and private event band.
Most clients come to us when the priority is a packed dance floor, a smooth production experience, and a band that can be trusted to deliver without issues.
